Homosexuality

Hello everyone! This is my fourth blog post! (Once again I believe that the Holy Spirit has led me to write what I didn’t expect to write.)

(If there are any children reading this please stop and let your parent(s) or guardian(s) read it first.)

Today I was looking at the hub-bub which was raised over Wilna Van Beek’s presentation at the Rock of Ages Church (Which happened to take place in a city very close to where I live). I am often intrigued by how much controversy is raised over the topic of homosexuality, and because it is something that I have struggled with myself I feel obligated to put in my two cents worth (err, my two nickels worth). Why? I suppose that because the Holy Spirit has guided me through it I must now help others see the Holy Spirit’s guidance as well.

The first thing that I wish to address is the concept that homosexuals are “Born this way.” I have no intention to dispute that statement, however I do disagree with the absolute nature of it. We are all born into sin, every last one of us, with the sole exception of Jesus Christ who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was therefore born spiritually alive. The rest of us however, having been conceived of man, the descendants of Adam’s race, are all born spiritually dead. This means that even if we are born a certain way, that does not mean that is the way God meant us to be. We are born into a world of sin, a world which has been separated from God. Yes, Jesus came to unite as back with God and bring us life to the full, but until every descendant of Adam’s race accepts that life, there will likely still be some degree of separation. Isaiah 59:1-2

I also want to mention a concept of, “Carrying around your grave.” If you accept Jesus Christ and declare Him as your Lord and Savior than you are free. John 8:36, Roman’s 10:9-10 You have risen up with Christ and the grave can hold you no longer. You are no longer spiritually dead. Ephesians 2:4-10 However, have you ever considered the concept that even though you no longer lay in the grave, that you are carrying your grave around with you? Imagine that. Imagine yourself rising up out of the grave, and being clothed in Righteousness by the Lord, and then you turn around and pick up the dirt from your grave. You scoop up the dirt that you’ve laid in so comfortably for so long and put it in a little – or big – jar, because that dirt is all you know, and you can’t imagine life without that dirt. Or you could even be so bold as to take that dirt and rub it onto your new clothes which The Lord has given you.

Yeah, I know, that’s an offensive statement, but sometimes the truth offends. Please understand that I am not trying to make Homosexuality out as the “Ultimate Sin”. As I said in my previous post, “the same spirit lies in wait of all sexual immorality.” That’s not just having sex with someone of the same gender. That’s also having sex with someone of the opposite gender outside of marriage, which I was once guilty of. (Notice I said “was once guilty of”. I am no longer bound to sin because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who laid down His life for all of us.) If I were to go and find my fiancé right now and tempt Him into sexual relations before marriage, I would be sinning. Yes, I do acknowledge a sinful thought as sin. Matthew 5:27-28, 1 John 3:15 However, it would be worse if we actually committed the act. (Fortunately, I am very blessed with a very strong man of God who tries to be careful not to step too far into intimacy before the proper time.)

I think that this is all I should write for now. I do not sense the Holy Spirit prompting me to write anything else.

Thank you for reading my blog. 🙂

The Principality of Homosexuality

Hello! Time for my third post.

(If there are any children reading this please stop and let your parent(s) or guardian(s) read it first.)

For those who possibly still check this blog, sorry for the delay. I had some difficulty figuring out what I should write next.

Well, it seems that the Holy Spirit is moving in me again, and it’s moving me towards a certain subject. Again I am writing about homosexuality and molestation.

Molestation is evil, we can all agree on that. Well, most of us can. There are those who have molested children and believe that there is nothing wrong with what they’ve done. But these are just a select few, right? Most people can discern where the sexual boundaries lay.

Not so.

Most people do not have such extreme sexual desires as a pedophile, but the same spirit lays in wait of all sexual immorality. The same spirit which makes it possible for a man to abuse a little girl is the same spirit which makes it possible for a man to desire another man. Trust me, I know this.

The same spirit which laid in wait for me as I was being sexually abused was the same spirit that laid in wait and attacked me as I took part in homosexuality. I know both, and both are the same. Please understand that I am not trying to bring judgement on anyone, but rather understanding. I understand that the homosexual community has been and often still is heavily persecuted. I also understand the heavy burden of feeling as if one’s relationship must be approved by others. It really sucks, I know.

However, I cannot ignore the seriousness of the situation. It is my belief that Leviathan is the principality which resides over homosexuality, and I believe that Leviathan is a multithreaded principality which governs over all forms of sexual impurity.

Thank you for reading my Blog. 🙂
